More than 1 million sqm leased in 3 months

A record-breaking period on the Polish warehouse market. According to preliminary JLL data, as much as 1 million sqm of warehouse space was leased by companies in the third quarter of 2016, marking the best quarter in the history of the market. “The positive trend on the Polish warehouse and industrial market continues. When it comes to the amount of space leased, we have never seen such high numbers for a three-month period,” says Tomasz Olszewski, Head of Industrial CEE, JLL.

“The demand is massive, the amount of space leased in the third quarter suggests that developers can easily find tenants, and clients need more and more modern space,” says Tomasz Olszewski, JLL. “Additionally, there is a considerable interest from foreign investors, who are willing to start activities on the Polish market. The e-commerce industry is also growing at a high rate and thus generating large demand for logistics space,” explains Olszewski.

JLL data show that the gross demand in the first six months of 2016 amounted to 1,312,000 sqm. This current situation suggests that this year, the industrial and warehouse market is going to break records.

JYSK in the P3 Piotrków logistics park


JYSK will occupy 10,504 sqm of warehouse space in the P3 Piotrków logistics park in central Poland.

Construction begins on Żabka’s warehouses


MLP Group has begun the construction of a logistics centre for Żabka. The 24,700 sqm facility, which is being built in the MLP Gliwice park, is due to be delivered in November 2017.

One of the largest logistics centres in Poland will be built in Łódź


The construction of the BSH logistics centre has begun in Łódź. The facility will cover an area of almost 80,000 sqm, which is the equivalent of eleven football pitches.

Dekofilm Polska leases 7,350 sqm at Panattoni Park Radzymin


Panattoni Europe has signed a lease with Dekofilm Polska – a manufacturer of heat-shrinkable and stretch films for food packaging. The terms of the contract were mediated by experts from JLL. The transaction is for 7,350 sqm (6,800 sqm of manufacturing and warehouse space and 550 sqm of office space) at the developer’s new project – Panattoni Park Radzymin. The tenant will move into its new location in April 2018.
