Egger, an Austrian investor, is now able to construct a chipboard and melamine board factory in Biskupiec near Olsztyn. According to Puls Biznesu, the Council of Ministers has approved a draft decision on expanding the Warmia and Mazury Special Economic Zone. The company will invest PLN 789 million.
A distribution centre for ZING – the biggest Polish distributor of paper – has been launched next to the Konotopa Junction at Jawczyce (municipality - Ożarów Mazowiecki). The company has signed a lease agreement for 14,000 sq m in Panattoni Park Warszawa – Konotopa. Experts from JLL advised ZING during the processes of selecting the location and negotiation of lease terms.
MLP Group has started the construction of a new logistics park in Czeladź in the Upper Silesia region. The new facility will offer 71,000 sqm of warehouse and industrial space developed in a 16.5 ha area.
A new Tesco distribution centre has been officially opened in SEGRO Logistics Park Poznań, Komorniki. This tailor-made 30,200 sqm facility will house 12,300 products. Every 20 minutes, they will be leaving the warehouse to be delivered to 119 Tesco stores.
Panattoni Europe is developing a BTS production facility for the German company Ideal Automotive. The 19,645 sqm facility is being constructed in Zielona Góra in the Kostrzyń-Słubice Special Economic Zone. The building is scheduled to be delivered in March 2017.
Another investment project in the Polish automotive industry. The Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki says that Toyota will invest PLN 650 million. The Japanese company will expand its production lines.
Panattoni Europe is developing 10,000 sqm of space for Infosys, with the possibility of expanding it by another 10,000 sqm. The space will be dedicated to e-commerce entities. The contract will be in force until July 2020.
Since mid-July, the Katowice Special Economic Zone has attracted four investment projects with a total value of more than PLN 250 million. New jobs will be created in Lubliniec, Radziechowy-Wieprz and Gliwice.
In 2018, Browar Pinta will set up its own facility, which will be constructed in the municipality of Radziechowy-Wieprz near Żywiec. The company announced that it had won the tender for the purchase of an investment plot owned by the Katowice Special Economic Zone.
