One of the largest logistics centres in Poland will be built in Łódź

The construction of the BSH logistics centre has begun in Łódź. The facility will cover an area of almost 80,000 sqm, which is the equivalent of eleven football pitches.

Forsal.pl reports that the centre will have its own railway siding, as well as a station with a 560 m platform, since a significant part of the company’s manufacturing exports is transported by rail. The centre will store BSH products made in Polish factories, which are intended for both the domestic and foreign markets, as well as production components. In its three production facilities in Łódź, the home appliances producer manufactures washing machines, dishwashers and clothes dryers.

The facility, which is due to be completed in the spring of 2018, will be built on BSH’s land at ul. Jędrzejowska. The choice of this location was motivated by the proximity of the A1 motorway and the Łódź Północ (Łódź North) junction of the A1 and A2 motorways, which is located 30 kilometres away.
