The zone comprises 23 subzones: Kraków Śródmieście, Kraków Podgórze, Kraków Nowa Huta, Andrychów, Boguchwała, Bochnia, Bukowno, Chełmek, Dobczyce, Gdów, Gorlice, Krosno, Książ Wielki, Limanowa, Niepołomice, Nowy Sącz, Oświęcim, Skawina, Słomniki, Tarnów, Wolbrom, Zabierzów, Zator.

The major investors in the Krakow Special Economic Zone are: ComArch S.A. (Poland), RR Donnelley Sp. z.o.o. (USA), MAN Trucks Sp. z o.o. (Germany), Shell Polska Sp. z o.o. (UK/Netherlands), Grupa Onet.pl (Poland/Netherlands), Ericpol Sp. z o.o. (Poland).
The total value investment expenditure is 1.8 bn PLN and the number of issued business permits is 127.
Krakow SEZ is the only special zone in Poland which is at the same time an IT park.
