“Starachowice” Special Economic Zone

The “Starachowice” Special Economic Zone is situated in Świętokrzyskie, Mazovia, Opole, Łódź and Lublin provinces. SEZ “Starachowice” covers the total area of 644.4646 ha.


The convenient location of “Starachowice” SEZ facilitates the communication with major Polish and European cities. The region contains a junction of railroads connecting the South and the North of the country, as well as East-West railroads. There are railroad stations for passenger transportation, as well as cargo stations in Starachowice, Skarżysko Kamienna and Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski.

Within 40 km of Starachowice there is an airport for passenger and cargo aircraft. Additionaly, many national roads interesect in the area of SEZ „Starachowice”, which is also connected to A1 and A4 highways.


Special Economic Zone „Starachowice” comprises the following subzones: Starachowice, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Suchedniów, Końskie, Skarżysko Kamienna, Szydłowiec, Tułowice, Morawica, Iłża, Mniszków, Stąporków, Puławy, Kielce, Sędziszów, Połaniec.


The major investors in SEZ „Starachowice” are: Biella Szydlowiec Sp. z o.o./Biella-Neher AG (Switzerland), Cerrad Sp. z o.o. (Poland), Cersanit II SA (Poland), Gerda 2 Sp. z o.o. (Poland), MAN Bus Sp. z o.o./VW Gruppe (Germany). 154 business permits have been issued in the Zone and the value of investment expenditures is 1,798.80 mln PLN.
