An Italian company will invest 366 million in the Katowice SEZ

The Italian company Magneti Marelli will invest PLN 366 million in the Katowice Special Economic Zone. The Zone's management board has awarded the company with three permits allowing it to conduct business in the Katowice SEZ.

Magneti Marelli Poland plans to increase the production capacity of the existing plant in Sosnowiec through the purchase of fixed assets for the production of rear lamps for passenger cars. The company will invest PLN 200 million to upgrade the production hall and modernise or develop warehouse and office space. Following the new investment project, car lighting components will be produced using modern technologies and the innovative production management system Industry 4.0.

Moreover, in Bielsko-Biała, Magneti Marelli Suspension Bielsko will carry out two investment projects. Their implementation will involve employing more than 20 new staff, with more than 760 retaining their current jobs. The company will produce smart shock absorbers for cars and modern suspension components for the front and rear axles, which will be characterized by very good traction and kinematic properties.

By 2023, Magneti Marelli is going to invest at least PLN 60 million to modernise and expand the necessary industrial infrastructure for the production of smart shock absorbers enabling adaptive response to traffic incidents.
