Łódź is also one of the oldest industrial markets in Poland, which over the years has developed three distinctive sub-zones.
First large logistics facilities in Central Poland – the so-called big boxes – were developed on Łódź outskirts. Up until now industrial space is offered in inter alia Panattoni Park Łódź East & South, Segro Business Park Łódź I & II or Łódź Logistics Centre. Tenants looking for smaller warehouse units are advised to check Small Business Units (SBU), located within Łódź city administrative boarders, which can be used both as warehouse and company’s headquarters.
As a result of growing demand for industrial space in Central Poland, the market expanded and new warehouses were developed in various locations around Łódź area, such as PiotrkówTrybunalski, Rawa Mazowiecka and Stryków. All of them quickly established their position on the regional industrial map and are seen as significant logistics. It is however Stryków region with SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków, Prologis Park Stryków or Panattoni Park Stryków that has recently been flying the flag for Central Poland’s warehouse market. Thanks to A1 and A2 motorways junction it became a natural choice for logistics operators and is hence becoming the 2nd – after Łódź outskirts – most desired warehouse location in the heart of Poland.
Warehouses for rent in Łódź area without a shaddow of a doubt can be reffered to as Poland’s central logistics hub. Occupiers are predominantly represented by logistics operators, retailers and manufacturing companies from many sectors of the market, such as Ceramics Paradyż , Chipita Poland, Indesit, Dell or Castorama to name just a few. New investments are encouraged by numerous incentives and grants provided by Łódź Special Economic Zone and endorsement of local business organizations, such as inter alia Lódź Chamber of Commerce or Lódź Regional Development Agency.
